“Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.” - Leonardo Da Vinci

So you’re thinking about joining the Luna family? Congratulations! If you do, you’ll be in good company—joining a team of passionate, talented, and independent physical therapists who are finding freedom and flexibility with Luna. You’re probably excited to get started providing care for engaged patients, but before we unleash you to meet with your first patient, you’re probably wondering what comes next.

Luna is on a mission to eliminate the hurdles of healthcare, and that means making the therapist experience as frictionless and delightful as possible. From the first time you contact our team to that first patient appointment and beyond, we are here to provide the resources and support you need to succeed. At Luna, we work for YOU and are committed to creating simplicity and ease throughout the entire onboarding process.

Getting started with Luna is a breeze. Here’s exactly what you can expect as you’re getting started.

That First Phone Call

If you’re curious to learn more about Luna, a 15 to 30-minute phone call with our team is a great place to start. Whether they’re working full time at a clinic or juggling work with family duties, the majority of people who decide to work with Luna are busy. We honor that by working around and fitting into your schedule. We’ll take calls early in the morning and late into the evening to get your questions answered and provide you with everything you’d like to know about joining the Luna family. You can call us directly at 1-877-359-8513 or fill out a super quick form and we’ll call you.

Applying and Credentialing

Qualifying to work with Luna is pretty straightforward. To apply, you need to meet three baseline qualifications. To see patients with Luna, you’ll need to have:

✔️ A California Physical Therapy license

✔️ Reliable transportation

✔️ 3+ years of experience working with patients

(Note: if you don’t have three or more years of experience working with patients, you may be eligible for the Luna Growth Program.)

Once you’ve reached out to our team and confirmed that you meet the initial qualifications, you’ll need to fill out some paperwork that we will submit on your behalf. Credentialing is all done online, so no need to stress over printing, scanning, or meeting in person. Again, simplicity and ease are at the core of the entire onboarding process.

Support

Once your credentialing is completed, it’s time to choose a date to go through your welcome and onboarding. We work around your schedule and give you the option to complete this 30 minute session in person or virtually. You can expect to get familiar with the Luna Therapist app (where you’ll set your own schedule and keep track of your earnings) and also learn about our unique approach to charting (hint: it's pretty awesome).

The support doesn’t stop there. All of the Luna best practices modules are offered online in our Luna Therapist app so you can go back for a refresher whenever needed. Need additional assistance? Our Head of Physical Therapy Services is always available for office hours. Have a quick question on-the-go? You’ll have easy access to Luna’s Concierge team directly from the app.

You’re Off to the Races!

Once you’ve completed your onboarding, you’re ready to see patients, start making money, and build the life you’ve always wanted with Luna. On average, this whole process takes about three weeks. Depending on how quickly you organize your credentialing information, it could be as quick as two! Luna’s onboarding is a very collaborative process, and we’ll make sure you’re comfortable and confident before heading out on your first patient appointment.

Life can be hard. At Luna, we want to make things easier by creating a more simple and delightful onboarding experience for our therapists. Reach out to us today to learn more or get to know our incredible community of physical therapists.
